WINTER CONCERNS + ICE DAM SOLUTIONS

We are all susceptible to Ice Dams whether your roof is 10 years old or brand spanking new.

What are Ice Dams?

As temperatures fluctuate, ice will form from melting snow and make an ice dam, water then pools behind this dam, hides under the snow and seeps into the building. Water can damage insulation, drywall, and electrical systems and may also lead to rotting wood and mold.

The weight of the ice could also cause damage when it breaks free and is a potential liability hazard if an injury would occur.

How to be proactive as a home and/or business owner:

Removing the snow from your roof 4-6 feet at the bottom edges of your roof will help prevent Ice Dams and will help with the weight that is on your roof.

Often times, ice dams can form without even realizing it.

INTRODUCING THE ARCTIC STEAMER:

  • This is the only steamer designed for use in cold temperatures to remove ice.
  • Removes the Ice Dam problem in the safest and most effective way.
  • The spray from The Arctic Steamer is gentle and will not damage a roof like other methods.
  • The use of chemicals and ice melting products can cause a larger problem.
